Hornets invade the Animal Planet Network
A film company recently contacted AMCHornet.com about helping them put together material for an upcoming TV show on Animal Planet called "Animal on Wheels". The show will feature cars and other vehicles named for animals. As you may have already guessed, the AMC Hornet will be included in the show.

AMCHornet.com has provided some of the material that will be used in the show.

2.13.2006 Update!
Email update from the Discovery Channel (Producers of Animal Planet). "Typically, once a program is filmed, it takes six months to a year to finish the post-production process. Therefore, programs are not immediately scheduled to be televised."

8.29.2006 Update!
Sad news folks. The "Animal Icons" show will not be aired. Here is their statement:

"Thank you for contacting Animal Planet. We appreciate your interest in our programs. Unfortunately, Animal Icons is currently not scheduled to be televised, it may be scheduled in the future. Please visit our website at www.discovery.com and check out All Our TV Schedules for more information."

Sincerely,
Viewer Relations

Oh well. It would have been great to see the Hornet on Television. I'll keep checking back with them and I will post any news on the show when I hear any.
